Susan Anderson Bell, a.k.a. "The Girl"

Susan began recording and playing music at the age of fifteen, and has performed throughout the South. In the early 1980s, she released a song that became the Billboard Magazine Pick Hit of the Month and went to #42 on the Cashbox Country Chart.

Susan took a 20-year hiatus from the music business to devote herself to her family. In 2003, she traveled to Austin, Texas and recorded her current CD at Justin Trevino’s studio. It is currently playing on several radio stations throughout the US, and is popular in Sweden, Finland and Norway. The CD became the fastest-selling independent artist CD in history at the Ernest Tubb Record Shop in Nashville, and the most-requested CD on C106.1.

She has been at C106.1, off and on, since it went on the air, but has worked in radio since the age of fifteen. Susan is currently the co-host on the Cousin Carl Show, station manager, and music director.
